The Type 390 circular sight glasses are manufactured from high-quality 1.4571 (316Ti) stainless steel, a material trusted by our customers. The glass used is the industry-standard borosilicate glass, in accordance with DIN 7080 (or to customer specifications).
The assembly is sealed using flat gaskets, selected in accordance with process requirements from a wide range of materials. In addition to traditional fibre gaskets, advanced options are available, such as PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, novaphit® MST-XP, KlingerSil® C4400, and other leading brands.
Where the maximum operating temperature of DIN 7080 borosilicate glass is insufficient, or where process conditions require additional protection, a specially sized mica protective disc can be fitted to this model, offering greater resistance to temperature and steam. For environments involving aggressive chemicals or caustic solutions, FEP or Halar® coatings can be applied to enhance durability.
Like other circular product sight glasses, the 390 sight glass can be fitted, on request, with an SGW-type wiper and lighting systems.
