Type 392 circular sight glasses are manufactured from high-quality 1.4571 (316Ti) stainless steel, a material trusted by our customers. The glass used is industry-standard borosilicate glass, in accordance with DIN 7080 (or to customer specifications).
Sealing is achieved using flat gaskets selected from a comprehensive range of materials, including not only conventional fibre gaskets but also advanced technical solutions such as PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, novaphit® MST-XP, KlingerSil® C4400, and other recognised brands.
If the maximum operating temperature of DIN 7080 borosilicate glass does not meet your requirements, or if the process conditions pose an additional risk to the glass, a protective mica disc, specially adapted to the sight glass, can be fitted to provide additional protection against temperature and steam. For harsh chemical environments, the glass can also be coated with FEP or Halar®, ensuring greater resistance to aggressive chemicals or caustic solutions.
Like other circular sight products, the 392 sight can be supplied, on request, with an SGW-type sight wiper.
