The standard version is equipped with 1.4571 (316Ti) stainless steel flanges, a material known for its excellent corrosion resistance and durability in industrial applications.
For less demanding applications, a variant with P265GH flanges is available.
Additionally, special materials such as Hastelloy®, duplex steels, or other high-performance alloys can be supplied upon request.
The glass tube is made of industrially tested borosilicate glass 3.3, in accordance with DIN ISO 3585. It stands out for its high thermal and chemical resistance and excellent optical properties.
Sealing is achieved with individually selectable flat gaskets from a wide range of materials – from classic fibrous materials to high-quality special materials such as PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, novaphit® MST-XP, or KlingerSil® C4400.
This allows the gasket to be ideally adapted to the medium, temperature, and pressure.
For nominal diameters up to DN 50, the Type 620 tubular sight glass is designed for operating pressures up to 16 barg.
Thanks to the precise coordination of the flange, gasket, and glass, the assembly is virtually dead-space-free, making it suitable for hygienically demanding processes.
For areas with increased mechanical risks – for example, when installed under walkways – optional impact protection covers are recommended, which, by protecting the glass tube from falling objects, minimize the risk of failure or unplanned damage.
