The type 330 is constructed from high-quality 1.4571 (316Ti) stainless steel, a material highly valued by our customers. Like most of our sight glasses, the Model 330 is also available in a variety of other materials upon request. Sealing is achieved using flat gaskets tailored to your requirements. We supply C-4400 fibre, PTFE, NBR and graphite gaskets as standard, amongst others.
For dark liquids or unlit tanks, the use of a reflective sight glass in accordance with DIN 7081 or similar is recommended. Due to the refraction of light in the built-in prisms, the liquid level can be more easily identified. However, if the tank is lit or if the colour of the product is visible, a transparent sight glass should be used. Reflective glass must not be covered with mica discs, as this prevents reflection.
