Type 400 Level Indicator – PN 40

Level indicator with rear holes.

The Type 400 Level Indicator was developed to function as a liquid level indicator in bypass systems, ensuring reliable level control in boilers and tanks. This model features a rectangular flange connection with two rear holes (Ø 18 mm) for connecting to pipe ends via welding.

Alternatively, the level indicator can be welded directly onto the tank wall. In this scenario, the closed rear section acts as a stabilisation zone, helping to reduce level fluctuations inside the tank.

The gauge is equipped with high-quality borosilicate glass, according to DIN 7081, firmly installed between gaskets and bolts, ensuring durability and high pressure resistance.

The Type 400 level indicator is manufactured from 1.4571 (316Ti) stainless steel, a material renowned for its high corrosion resistance and durability. On request, it is available in other materials, tailored to specific requirements and applications.

The assembly is sealed using flat gaskets selected according to process requirements, including not only fiber gaskets but also high-performance materials such as PTFE (Teflon®), novaphit® MST-XP, and KlingerSil® C4400.

⚠️ Important note: Reflex gauges cannot be used with mica shields or coatings, as the protective mica layer prevents the light refraction required for the reflex effect.
