Tubular Sight Glass Type 650 – PN 10 – DIN EN 10357

Welding connections DIN EN 10357, threaded and conical DIN 11851

The tubular sight glass Type 650 was developed to offer continuous and safe visual monitoring of the process medium in industrial pipelines, ensuring mechanical resistance and longevity.
It is available in various connection variants, namely:

  • Welding connections according to DIN EN 10357
  • Threaded and conical connections according to DIN 11851

Borosilicate glass 3.3, highly chemically resistant, Type 650 provides full 360° visibility of the flow inside the pipeline.
The glass used features high thermal and chemical resistance, making it ideal for demanding media and rigorous industrial applications.

To ensure a reliable and durable seal, the following sealing materials are used:

  • NBR
  • EPDM
    (Other materials available upon request)

The design incorporates stud bolts with flange stops, preventing incorrect assembly and increasing breakage resistance.
The defined gasket pre-compression on the glass cylinder ensures a uniform seal, while self-locking nuts maintain constant pressure and maximum operational safety.

To protect the glass tube, Type 650 is supplied as standard with an impact protection cover, available in polycarbonate or perforated metal sheet.
This protection prevents mechanical damage and significantly increases the durability of the sight glass during operation.
