SAMPI

SAMPI began operations in 1937 in Lucca, Italy, trading in mineral oils and additives, enjoying rapid growth with an extensive distribution network. In the 1960s, with the introduction of new regulations on fuel distribution, SAMPI expanded its range to include pumps and meters: initially becoming a distributor and then, with the rapid growth in demand, setting up a workshop to manufacture positive displacement meters. The company quickly became a leader in the Italian market and in the 1980s expanded its business internationally, especially in Europe and Africa.

Over the years, SAMPI has also diversified its product line by developing systems based on its core products, and in the 1990s, it introduced electronic products for terminal and tanker truck automation.
Since January 2002, SAMPI has been part of the IDEX group of companies. IDEX is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of products for pumps, distribution equipment and other engineering technologies.
