These valves are normally in the closed position. When the pump is activated and the product is pushed into the system, the fluid pressure overcomes the valve spring force, allowing it to open. However, when air or vapor is present, the eliminator float drops, activating the magnetic contacts and opening the purge outlets.
Differential Valve Process:
- One of the outlets directs the air/vapor to the vapor recovery line;
- The other sends the air/vapor through the copper tubing to the differential valve.
The combined pressure of the air/vapor and the valve spring keeps the valve closed, preventing product flow until the air/vapor is completely eliminated. This mechanism ensures measurement accuracy and the integrity of the loading or unloading system.
